Are We There Yet?

We are if you traveled this route, but what if you plan on driving from a different direction to Orlando? Look for the next guest blog posts from Jane to see if you can visit somewhere Wild and Wacky on your route!

TALAHASSEE (4 hrs to Orlando)
Mission San Luis – Tallahassee’s Best Kept Secret

Mission San Luis is considered “an attraction that shouldn’t be missed”.   A National Historic Landmark, it is the only reconstructed 17th century mission in the Southeast. You are transported back to 1703 by costumed interpreters who demonstrate the skills and activities of mission life.  (It is approximately 4 miles off of  I 10 E in West Tallahassee – 2100 West Tallahassee St)

Interstate 10 and Interstate 75
Intersect just west of Lake City (2.5 hours to Orlando)

Start looking for some SAGA friends coming from GEORGIA!

Ocala (1.25 hrs to Orlando)

Are you a horse lover?  Have you ever seen the movie, Secretariat?  Marion County is the Horse Capitol of the World!  How about an exclusive look behind the scenes in this horse world?  Farm Tours of Ocala offers a three hour tour of three farms?  Trip Advisor rates this as the #3 best activity in Ocala. (8:30 am Monday to Saturday by reservation.  801 SW 60th Ave, Florida Thoroughbred Breeder`s & Owner`s Association Building 352-895-9302)
