Happy Christmas!

Just a little eye candy today- all my smocked Christmas ornaments!

A lot of these ornaments have been designs shared by members via SAGANews.

The designs use beads, counter change smocking, Italian smocking; trapuntro smocking, feather stich, lattice smocking, ribbons. All look great on their own, on a tree with other ornaments or all together in a glass bowl!

Happy Christmas from SAGANews!

More Christmas Angels

These two angels were made using a pattern from an old Creative Needle magazine.

The design appeared twice in issues of Creative Needle, both September/October issues and one dated 1997. The designer was Martha Parker.

I used left over scraps of fabric and lace to make them and the wings are made from vintage doilies that have seen better days. The hair is perle cotton. The wreaths are buttons.

Christmas Angels

Not smocking or heirloom sewing but crocheted angels just because 'Tis the Season!

PS The pattern was free and found on the Internet. They are crochet icicle angels.
